To celebrate their living spirit as an integral part of the Christwood community, Christwood planted four live oak trees to serve as a living tribute to the tireless dedication of deceased Board members Jack Lohman, Russ Rudolph, Jim McComiskey, and Greg Gregory.
Service on the Christwood Board is a generous gift of dedication. Board members are selected from the community among leaders in their respective fields and serve without compensation.
Nominated by the Christwood Board of Directors, Board members are elected for a three-year term by the Vestry of Christ Episcopal Church, which is the single member stockholder of the Christwood Corporation, a not-for-profit charitable corporation chartered in the state of Louisiana.
The ceremony was opened by L. Stephen Holzhalb, III D. Min., Executive Director of Christwood. Prayers were led by the Rev’d John C. Bauerschmidt, D. Phil., Rector of Christ Church Covington; a scripture reading was offered by Board member and Christwood resident Bill Read; and music was provided by the Grace Notes: Fran Phares Paddison, Marjorie Polchow, Richard Polchow, and Kathy Turner.
A reception followed in the Garden Room.
