  1. Isn’t this a bad time to have a Capital Campaign with the economy as it is? No. The church is the bearer of hope. When the world is at its worst, the church needs to be at its best.
  2. Which comes first, the Capital Campaign or the Annual Giving campaign? The Capital Campaign and Annual giving campaign occur simultaneously.
  3. How will the church know how much I want to contribute to the Annual Giving and how much to the Capital Campaign? You will be given two pledge cards – one for Annual Giving and one for the Capital Campaign. They will be clearly marked and different colors.
  4. What is the difference between Annual Giving and Capital Campaign? The monies raised through Annual Giving are used to support the daily operation of the church – from salaries, to electricity, to programs. A portion is given to the diocese for its daily operating expenses.
  5. The purpose of the Capital Campaign is to raise funds over and above what is needed for daily operation of our church in order to (1) expand our facilities, (2) expand our outreach, and (3) add additional staff to help implement programs more efficiently.

  6. I know the Capital Campaign pledge is for a 3-year period, but is the Annual Giving pledge for a 3-year period also? No, the Annual Giving is for a period of 1 year as it has always been.
  7. Won’t a Capital Campaign hurt our Annual Giving Campaign? No. A gift to the Capital Campaign should be made prayerfully over and above your support of the Annual Giving Campaign
  8. How does the Bishop’s Diocesan Capital Campaign fit into the picture? A portion of the monies raised through the Capital Campaign will be given to the Diocesan Capital Campaign. In return, the Diocese is providing the services of RSI-Ketchum to guide the stewardship campaign.
  9. Does any of our Annual Giving pledge go to the Diocese? Yes, as always, our parish shares a portion of its income to support the ministry of the diocese.
  10. What is the benefit of having our Annual Stewardship Campaign and Capital Campaign at the same time as the Diocesan Capital Campaign? We are one church with one vision sharing the ministry and mission of the church.
