STEWARDSHIP We as Christians are stewards of all that God has given us here on earth. Everything we have – time, health, relationships, property, the Gospel, the environment – comes to us from God the Creator. God has also given us abilities and talents that are unique. Out of love and gratitude for these gifts, we use our abilities and talents to serve God and His people.At Christ Church, we have begun to practice year round stewardship with a number of events through the year that remind us of the gifts we have been given and which call upon us to be good stewards of them. The Stewardship Team helps to coordinate and plan these events that support the on-going ministry and build community at Christ Church. If you wish to share in this ministry, please contact the church office at 892-3177. The annual 24 hour Prayer Vigil for Christ Church is scheduled for October 9-10, 2009. Volunteers take turns praying for one hour each as part of a 24-hour period of continuous prayer for our Church, for each of our members, and for all of the special intentions of our members. If you would like to participate in the vigil or have specific concerns that you would like to have prayed for, please contact the church office at 892-3177. Kickoff Sunday for the 2010 annual appeal is in October and Commitment Sunday is November 15. You may request a commitment card and offering envelopes at any time from the church office 892-3177. |
